The Nykaa Skin Genius Sculpting & Hydrating Foundation has a lot of distinguishing qualities. The hyaluronic acid formula makes it hydrating, thereby moisturizing your skin without it being greasy. It absorbs moisture from the environment while retaining it in your skin. This is generally found in high-end foundations. Your skin will look plump and supple, that too at an affordable price.
Another problem which it tackles is the eventuality of buying a foundation not matching your skin tone. It provides you the leeway of going up or down a shade or two. On application, the foundation will automatically adapt to your skin tone within a couple of minutes. Thus, you can safely buy the product on the basis of swatches or online reviews; the texture will blend really well.
The creamy lotion can be applied using either fingers or a brush (in case you want more coverage you can use a beauty blender sponge to get light-medium coverage). Your skin will look really natural and fresh. The finish is neither dewy nor matte, and it’s very hard to tell that there’s a foundation on your skin. Please remember this is a light to medium coverage foundation and not a full coverage foundation.
This product comes in plastic packaging. The slim bottle and black cap are sturdy, making the foundation travel-friendly. It doesn’t contain paraben mineral oil, and it’s dermally tested as well. The fact that they refrain from testing on animals makes me like the product even more.
I’d really like to see Nykaa introduce more shades in this series. There’s no other foundation at this price which offers you so much. I would definitely recommend it to everyone looking for a foundation in this range.
