Lakme has launched Enrich Matte Lipsticks which are available in more than 20 shades.
Packaging
The packaging is very similar to the Enrich Satin Lipsticks. I don’t particularly like the way it looks, as it seems like a test tube to me! The texture of these lipsticks is matte but they apply very smoothly on the lips. It feels extremely comfortable moisturizing.
Pigmentation
However, the pigmentation is not uniform across the board. The lighter shades look freaky and crumbly, whereas the darker shades seem to have a more smooth and even finish. Also, the pigmentation varies from shade to shade.
The Ugly Duckling review
This range has five categories or sub-shades: OM-Orange Matte, WM-Wine Matte, PM-Pink Matte, RM-Red Matte, and BM-Brown Matte. These lipsticks are not completely matte and are in fact mostly semi-matte. None of them is super or powdery matte in finish. Also, the darker shades leave deep satin on the lips which takes a heavy amount of effort with a makeup remover to get rid of the stains on the lips. The staying power, however, is good- they stay on for a really long time; even the pink shades like PM11 and PM10 have stayed on me for a good seven plus hours. Since they leave a very strong stain, you have to make sure that your lips are well exfoliated before you apply these lipsticks.
I do not particularly like the smell of these products as it smells almost like strong cough syrup. But for 275 rupees only, can you complain so much?
Don’t go for the packaging as the product inside it is worth it. I have zero complaints with respect to the quality of the product.
